The Toni Benetton Museum in Mogliano Veneto

Mogliano Veneto (TV). It is surrounded by the countryside of Mogliano, along a path that reveals to the visitor other important villas from the history of the Serenissima Republic.

Villa Marignana houses The Museum and hosts some masterpieces by Toni Benetton, a sculptor of the 20th century who chose iron as the privileged means of his language.

The collection of works includes the early works and extends to the latest productions, some of which come from the historical Workshop – Atelier of the Master in S. Artemio Treviso, which remained his workshop until the 1970s. From Treviso, he then moved to Marocco di Mogliano Veneto where he founded the International Iron Academy, which remained active until the 1980s.

The sculptor acquires Villa Marignana in Mogliano Veneto (TV), an 18th-century summer residence of noble Venetian families, to create an outdoor exhibition space near his studio.

Inside the ancient cellars of the Villa, the most representative works in terracotta, plaster, and bronze are exhibited, showcasing its fundamental artistic stages.

In the other rooms, the iron works are exhibited, ranging from the first figurative period to the large projects of macro-sculptures.

In the park of over 20,000 square meters, among centuries-old trees, many works created between 1951 and 1995 have been placed.

Permanent outdoor exhibition is intended as a new form of representation and arises from the need for new spaces for large sculptures. With these iron works, the sculptor achieves the goal of harmoniously blending the structure with the surrounding nature, which no longer appears as a mere frame but becomes its true environment.

The exhibition park built in 1967 and the exhibition located in the old cellars today make up the path of the “Toni Benetton” museum, a destination for scholars, researchers, and enthusiasts. An artistic journey that guides the visitor along a cultural “path” between Art and Nature, offering the intense experience of a journey through the personal and professional history of the Master.

The museum was recognized in 2000 by the Veneto Region. The villa hosts weddings, corporate events, parties, and various celebrations.
