A commemorative stamp celebrating the Liberation, on the 80th anniversary of April 25, 1945, was issued by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy.
Poste Italiane announces that yesterday, April 25, 2025, a stamp with a value of tariff B equal to €1.30 was issued. The print run is 200,025 copies on sheets of 45 specimens each. The stamp is printed by the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato S.p.A., using rotogravure on white paper, coated with neutral, self-adhesive, optical brightening agent.
A family towards freedom
The sketch was curated by Matías Hermo. The vignette depicts a stylized family, walking up a gently sloping hill. It consists of a woman wearing the Italian tricolor as a cloak, a man holding the Italian flag, and two children holding hands with a small Italian flag. Confetti in the colors green, white, and red surround the entire vignette. The stamp is completed by the caption “80th ANNIVERSARY OF THE LIBERATION,” the word “ITALIA,” and the tariff indication “B.” Italian Post also announces that the first day cancellation will be available at the post office of Rome V.R. The stamp, and related philatelic products, postcards, cards, and informative bulletins will be available at post offices with a philatelic counter, the “Spazio Filatelia” in Florence, Genoa, Milan, Naples, Rome, Rome 1, Turin, Trieste, Verona, and on the website http://www.filatelia.poste.it. Additionally, a philately folder containing the single stamp, the block of four, the stamped and canceled postcard, the first day cover, and the informative bulletin has been produced, priced at 20€.
