Alba De Silvestro wins the specialty cup

Thanks to her fourth place in the individual event, the athlete from Belluno, Alba De Silvestro, wins the specialty cup. Giulia Murada still leads in the overall standings.

VILLARS SUR OLLON (SWITZERLAND) – In the second act of the final stage of the World Cup in Villars sur Ollon (Switzerland), Alba De Silvestro, thanks to her fourth place in the individual event, wins the specialty ranking. Sixth is Giulia Murada, who continues to hold a strong lead in the overall standings.

First are the two French women Axelle Gachet Mollaret and Emily Harrop, with the former finishing in 1’30″53’7 and the latter trailing by 57″5. Third is the Austrian Johanna Hiemer (+3’58). Fourth, for the second time in 24 hours, is the athlete from Belluno (but now residing in Valtellina) at +4’42. The other Italians also performed well, with Murada at +5’46, Lisa Moreschini (+9’03) in eighth place, and Noemi Junod in fourteenth.

Alba De Silvestro thus reaches 244 points and wins the Specialty Cup ahead of Murada at 226 and Gachet Mollaret at 200.

Murada reaches 1000 points and remains in first position in the overall Cup, 69 points ahead of Harrop (931), with Ravinel (53) now out of the running; De Silvestro is fourth with 660. The sprint on Saturday will be crucial before closing the competitions with the mixed relay.
