At the Goldoni Theatre in Venice, a lyrical-symphonic concert celebrated the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women
VENICE – In a packed and engaged Goldoni Theatre, on the evening of Thursday, November 20, Beyond Silence took place, a lyrical-symphonic concert promoted by the Teatro Stabile del Veneto – Teatro Nazionale on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. An event that managed to unite art and civic commitment, transforming music into a tool of awareness, memory, and hope.
The star of the evening was the My Venice Orchestra, a female ensemble of the Veneto Symphony Orchestra, conducted by maestro Stefano Romani. The program spanned eras and genres, alternating between lyrical and symphonic pieces, with the participation of tenor Cristian Ricci, in a musical dialogue that was able to evoke deep emotions and urgent reflections.
The title Beyond Silence – “Beyond Silence” – evokes the urgency of giving voice to what often remains unspoken: the invisible wounds of violence, the interrupted stories, the submerged pain. Music, in this context, becomes a universal language capable of speaking to the heart and the conscience, creating a shared space where art meets social responsibility.
The evening also had a strong symbolic and concrete value: the entire proceeds were donated to the Anti-Violence Center of the Municipality of Venice, in support of women victims of violence.
