Carpineti Terrae Winery at Vinitaly 2025: the wine maze between art, nature, and identity

1 Mins read

Among the most evocative stands at Vinitaly 2025 stands out the one of Cantina Carpineti Terrae, a winery from Lazio that combines innovation, biodiversity, and a deep respect for its roots. Marco Carpineti, the soul and vision behind a project that goes beyond wine, touching on art, sustainability, and the territory, tells its story.

VERONA. Behind him, a photo of a maze looms. It’s not a scenographic effect, but a real creation: “It’s the biggest maze of lives in the world”, explains Carpineti. “It’s not a game, but a living artwork, a way to represent the passion and heart we put into our work. After the grape harvest, we let the cows graze in the vineyard: it’s our organic and biodynamic approach, where every element plays a role in the life cycle of the land”.

The Carpineti Winery is located in Cori, an ancient Lazio village with over five centuries of history, more than Rome. It is right there that two extraordinary native grape varieties are born: the Bellone and the Nero Buono di Cori. “From these grapes we create different interpretations, from sparkling wine to passito. They are varieties that tell the story of our territory and have a very strong identity.”

Lazio, often almost exclusively associated with Frascati, actually hides a surprising wine heritage. And Carpineti proves it not only in Italy, but also abroad: “We export about 25% of our production. We even sell in France, the homeland of wine par excellence. And there they appreciate our Kus, classic method sparkling wine, because they recognize the uniqueness of Lazio and its native grape varieties. It is proof that, if the product has soul and quality, you can speak to anyone”.

Cantina Carpineti Terrae’s participation in Vinitaly 2025 is not just a showcase, but an invitation to get lost – or perhaps find oneself – in a labyrinth made of nature, history, and love for wine.
