Jesolo confirms itself as the Christmas City by the sea with many initiatives
Jesolo – This year too, the Christmas city by the sea is Jesolo. Its tourist vocation, combined with the festive atmosphere, is attracting thousands of visitors during this period. The initiatives promoted by the Municipality are receiving an excellent response from the public, confirming the growing interest in the winter events program.
Jesolo Sand Nativity
It has already reached the milestone of 40,000 visitors since its opening on November 29, with an average of over 1,700 visitors per day. Just last weekend, the turnstiles recorded the passage of almost 7,000 people. This is an excellent figure considering that last year, during the same period, the sand sculpture exhibition had been visited by just over 28,000 visitors.
Excellent results also for the Ice Nativity Scene in Piazza I Maggio, which has reached around 18,000 visitors since the inauguration on Saturday, December 6, in line with the data from the previous edition. In this case, the average daily visitors is about 1,200 people, with a peak over the past weekend of nearly 3,000 entries.
Its attractiveness is also confirmed by the Christmas Village which, thanks to the doubling of entertainment moments and the daily success of Santa and Mrs. Claus’s area in Piazza Aurora, recorded the presence of 60,000 people between Saturday and Sunday.
Jesolo Polar Village
A positive debut for the Jesolo Polar Village, the village that this year brought the spirit of Christmas to Piazza Marconi, Piazza Drago, and Piazzetta Carducci with the large igloo hosting workshops for children and a “crystal ball” for stunning photos, along with inflatables and entertainment. On Sunday alone, the large structure dedicated to the little ones welcomed over 1,000 visitors, with nearly 530 children involved in the activities and crafts created.
“We are very happy that already in these days tens of thousands of people have chosen our city to experience the initiatives organized during the holidays, spending moments of carefree joy with their loved ones. It is a result that rewards the work done and demonstrates how Jesolo can be welcoming and attractive not only in summer but throughout the year,” said the Mayor Christofer De Zotti.
