At the Venice Lido a day dedicated to patients, associations, and citizens among technology, testimonies, and the Scientific Aperitif with nationally renowned experts
VENICE – Thursday, June 19, 2025, the San Camillo IRCCS of Lido di Venezia opens its doors for an Open Day entirely dedicated to Parkinson’s, a day of meeting, discussion, and scientific dissemination open to all Parkinson’s associations in the area.
The event, organized in collaboration with the Villa Salus Foundation, will be enriched by a particularly symbolic moment: the arrival by bicycle of a group of patients from Chioggia, members of the PEDALANDO – Parkinson’s Resistance Movement association. The group, led by president Lorenzo Sacchetto, has been promoting physical activity for years as a key to participation and well-being for those living with the disease.
During the day, participants will be able to discover and test the cutting-edge technologies used in the rehabilitation and tele-rehabilitation pathways of the San Camillo Institute, a national center of excellence for neuroscience.
To conclude the event, starting at 5.00 pm, the usual “Scientific Aperitif” will be held in the hospital park (VI edition), an open event that combines popularization and conviviality. After the initial greetings, the talk will feature the participation of high-profile experts: Pierfranco Conte, Scientific Director of IRCCS San Camillo, Angelo Antonini, neurologist at the University of Padua, and Pierluigi Nicotera, Scientific Director of IRCCS Fondazione Mondino di Pavia.
The event represents a valuable opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of research and rehabilitation, while also highlighting the role of associations and support networks in the territory.
