MILAN. The Milan Cortina 2026 Foundation and the FNM Group have signed a partnership agreement that will see the latter involved as the Regional Transport Sponsor for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, which will take place in less than a year.
FNM’s commitment will materialize in providing an integrated and sustainable transport experience throughout the Games period. Short and long-distance rail services in Lombardy will be enhanced, ensuring efficient connections between the various competition venues and beyond. Integration with bus services will provide greater fluidity and coverage to the system.
FNM will also play a key role in transport planning, ensuring that all services are provided with maximum efficiency and reliability. Parking management and the optimization of railway stations will complement the offer.
“We are pleased to announce the signing of the partnership with FNM – said the CEO of Milan Cortina 2026, Andrea Varnier – The agreement marks a strategic milestone in our journey towards the Games, as it allows us to implement an integrated and efficient mobility system, serving athletes, spectators, and territories. It is a concrete commitment that enhances the role of sport as a driver of connections, accessibility, and innovation.”
“This is – commented FNM President Andrea Gibelli – an important activity for us, in line with FNM’s desire to contribute to the growth and competitiveness of the metropolitan and regional areas in which it operates, improving the quality of life for people, cities, and businesses, and creating connections that generate value, following the principles of economic, social, and environmental sustainability, safety, and innovation.”
In addition to FNM, the Group’s companies will also be involved in the initiative: FERROVIENORD (railway infrastructure manager), Trenord (railway service), Azienda Trasporti Verona (local public transport), FNM Autoservizi (local public transport), Busforfun.com (mobility company), TILO (railway service).
Among other activities, the FNM Group will also be responsible for transporting spectators in Valtellina, with particular reference to free shuttle services, via buses, between the Tirano railway station and the Olympic venues of Bormio and Livigno and between some parking lots and the venues themselves.
Lastly, the FNM Group will launch a communication campaign dedicated to the partnership with Milan Cortina 2026 in the coming weeks.
