Giuffrida gold, Perna bronze

Odette Giuffrida wins again in the -52kg category at the Grand Slam event in Dushanbe. Third place goes to Kenya Perna

DUSHAMBE (TAJIKISTAN) – Odette Giuffrida never gets tired of winning. Two weeks after the European bronze in Tbilisi, the blue judoka goes to take the gold in the Dushambe stage of the Grand Slam in the -52kg category.

Decisive were the four consecutive victories against Klimczak (POL), Rafkatova (UZB), Akhmatova (UZB) and in the final against the Polish Kaleta, defeated by the Italian with three shido.

In the same category bronze for Kenya Perna (Fiamme Gialle) for a beautiful blue double. Kenya wins against Jumaeva (TJK), Myagmarsuren (MGL) and surrenders in the final against Kaleta (POL). In the bronze final, she prevails over Tserentogtokh (MGL) thanks to three penalties.

Asia Avanzato (Fiamme Gialle) is seventh in the -48 kg category. She wins against Tomankova (SVK) but surrenders to the Chinese Hui in the quarter-finals and fails to prevail against Zhuang (CHN) in the repechage rounds.
