DUSHAMBE (TAJIKISTAN) – The stage of the Dushambe Grand Slam concludes with another blue victory. After the double win in the -52kg category thanks to the victory of Odette Giuffrida and the third place of Kenya Perna, to which was added the bronze of Irene Pedrotti in the -70 kg, another wonderful gold medal arrives.
To conquer it was the Friulian Asya Tavano who asserted herself with determination in the +78 category. After the recent European bronze, the blue athlete confirms her position at the top of the category. She overcame the Polish Wolszczak in her debut and then defeated the Uzbek Tukhtamisheva in the semifinals. An excellent performance in the final against the very strong Chinese Aiyman, with the first step of the podium finally achieved.

In the same category, Kenya won a beautiful bronze medal, demonstrating growth and awareness, very well done. Irene, after 3 fifth places affected by incidents, also managed to win a medal by fighting with grit and heart; I hope this is the first of many.
Completing the picture is Asya, a gold made of intelligence, technique, and hard work, especially in the complicated final. Recently, she has improved a lot in various aspects, and during this positive period, she has reaped the rewards. 4 medals and a nice seventh place for the young Asia Avanzato, out of 6 athletes competing, continue to demonstrate the value of this great Italy.“
