Christmas has officially begun in Mogliano Veneto, which this year is brighter, more welcoming, and more engaging than ever. After a festive opening, the city is preparing for a month of events spread across all neighborhoods.
MOGLIANO VENETO (TV). The celebrations were kicked off by Mayor Davide Bortolato, who highlighted the special significance of the 2025–2026 edition:
“This year is a special Christmas, with the historic center newly redeveloped. We’ve done beautiful things, on a slightly grand scale: the people of Mogliano deserve it. One of the largest ice rinks in the province, a towering 12-meter tree, countless lights and an extremely rich program organized together with local businesses, their association, the Pro Loco, and many other local groups. It’s a Christmas not only lived in the center, but also in the neighborhoods: a Christmas to rediscover serenity and the desire to build community all together.”
A Christmas that puts the community at the center
“It’s Christmas: Let’s put our hearts into it” is the slogan guiding this year’s program—a shared path born from the collaboration of families, associations, schools, volunteers, businesses, and institutions.
The Municipality of Mogliano Veneto actively supported the organization by allocating €15,000 to the association Mogliano da Vivere for numerous events on the calendar.
“With this program, we reaffirm our intention to strengthen the city’s identity and support local commerce in all neighborhoods,” explained Councillor for Culture Giorgio Copparoni.
Councillor for Productive Activities Marina Cocito added: “This calendar is an investment in our community and in the businesses that bring it to life. I thank all shopkeepers for the dedication and passion with which they make Mogliano’s Christmas special.”
The opening on November 29: a collective celebration for the whole city
Yesterday’s inaugural day, Saturday, November 29, officially marked the beginning of Christmas in Mogliano.
In the afternoon, Piazza Caduti filled with families and children for the lighting of the decorations, which this year have doubled compared to the past.
From Via Roma, the “barbamoccolosa invasion” then began, with two giant teddy bears and an actor-guide with a musical cart entertaining young and old with selfies, hugs, and music.
At 5:45 p.m., the ice-skating rink was inaugurated, accompanied by a performance by the Ice Angels of Feltre.
The evening ended at 6:30 p.m. with the Christmas Concert by the teachers and students of the Sonicbox Modern Music School.
And now… a month of events to experience Mogliano
From today, the program continues with a rich calendar accompanying the city until Epiphany.

In the coming days, Santa Claus will visit several nursery and primary schools, accompanied by neighborhood associations and traditional zampognari (bagpipers).
Christmas Eve and Epiphany
The most eagerly awaited moments will also return:
- the big Christmas Eve concert in Piazza Caduti,
- the exchange of greetings in Piazza Giuseppe Berto,
- the Panevin bonfire on January 5,
- Epiphany events on January 6 with games, puppets, and entertainment.
