NERVESA DELLA BATTAGLIA, MAY 2, 2025 – Once again this year, great participation for the “Four steps on Montello – Four steps into history – The Bunker Trail” walk held on the morning of Thursday, May 1st in Nervesa della Battaglia. The event, which saw the participation of about 250 walkers, offered the opportunity to immerse oneself in nature and the historical memory of Montello along a 5 km route through paths full of significance, trenches and bunkers along the Piave riverbed and the Bus del Tavaran.
The event – attended by Mayor Mara Fontebasso, Deputy Mayor Leonardo Gottardo, Municipal Councillors Giorgia Martignago and Martina Piva, and Councillor Claudio Meneghetti – was organized in collaboration with the Historical and Cultural Association Battaglia del Solstizio of Nervesa and the Committee Santa Croce del Montello who have been dedicated for years to enhancing the historical and environmental heritage of the area. At the end of the walk, many participants then stopped at Casa Buziol to enjoy the typical dishes offered by the gastronomic stand of the event “Gemme del Montello“, thus contributing to turning the day into a real moment of community and conviviality.
