The Municipality of Asolo has launched the new municipal “Smart Parking” system with the installation of information panels for parking, equipped with surveillance cameras and laser systems for monitoring entry/exit from parking lots
Asolo (TV) – A project has been launched to make access to the city easier and facilitate the search for available parking spaces. This is all for the benefit of residents, workers, and tourists. Some of the new signs provide real-time information on available parking spots and can also convey updates on traffic, various alerts, and news of public interest.
The panels
As for the positioning, the panels have been installed along the main city arteries: on Via Forestuzzo, on Via Foresto Nuovo, along the SP 248 Schiavonesca-Marosticana and at the Tavernetta roundabout. The placement has also been designed to connect the new information system to existing public parking, such as the covered one on Via Cipressina, the one on Via Forestuzzo and the parking areas in the historic center, thus allowing users to know in advance the availability of spaces.
“Asolo continues to prove itself as a dynamic city capable of evolving by combining development and attention to the environment through concrete solutions that simplify the lives of those who live in and visit our city – comments the Mayor of Asolo, Franco Dalla Rosa – We will not stop here because next year we will also proceed with the renovation of the parking lot on Via Forestuzzo with the aim of further enhancing the city’s attractiveness. towards a more modern management of urban mobility, focused on sustainability, quality of life, and hospitality.”
“Thanks to Smart Parking, the time needed to search for parking spaces will be significantly reduced, especially during peak hours and on weekends when the ZTL is active,” explains Deputy Mayor Mauro Migliorini – “Traffic in the historic center will also decrease, and consequently, the polluting emissions from vehicles. We will also have a more rational distribution of car flows for an Asolo that is increasingly attentive to the needs of the area, including those of residents and merchants.”
