Treviso – The webinars on Digital Education by Poste Italiane are back in the province of Treviso. The events, completely free, are aimed at promoting awareness and knowledge among all citizens on current topics.
Wednesday, June 25th, in particular, the free webinar “NFTs and digital collecting: art and Philately meet blockchain” is scheduled, during which Giovanni Machetti, Head of Philately at Poste Italiane, will illustrate how the world of stamps has changed over time, approaching new forms of digital collecting.
NFT?
Among the major innovations of this world are NFTs (Non Fungible Tokens), virtual assets endowed with a certificate attesting the ownership of the electronic philatelic product, ensuring its authenticity. As unique, non-fungible products, they can be collected and traded just like stamps and paper products, following the same rules of rarity: the digital certificate recorded on a blockchain guarantees its ownership, uniqueness, and traceability.
NFTs are effectively a bridge between the tradition of philately and new technologies, offering innovative ways to collect and enhance postal history.
There are many reasons why stamps continue to attract enthusiasts of all ages. And it is precisely in their continuous renewal that they also speak to the youngest, thanks to characters like Pokémon, Pimpa, iconic comics like Tex, or even through the modern graphics of Zerocalcare and the unmistakable style of Giorgio Cavazzano, master of Italian comics.
