President Meloni meets the medal-winning blue athletes and the fourth-place finishers at the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The President of the Council, Giorgia Meloni, received yesterday in the Courtyard of Honor of Palazzo Chigi the Olympic and Paralympic medalists of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Games and the Italian athletes who placed fourth

ROME. The blue team presented the Prime Minister with an Italian flag signed by all the athletes who won Olympic and Paralympic medals.

President Meloni greeted each athlete individually and presented each team with an institutional medal and a box containing the official chromatic specimen of the Republic’s Tricolor, kept at Palazzo Chigi. 

The event was attended by the Minister for Sport and Youth Andrea Abodi, the Minister for Disabilities Alessandra Locatelli, the President of the Italian National Olympic Committee Luciano Buonfiglio, the President of the Italian Paralympic Committee Marco Giunio De Sanctis, the President of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Foundation Giovanni Malagò, the President of the Italian Winter Sports Federation Flavio Roda, the President of the Italian Ice Sports Federation Andrea Gios, along with executives and coaches.
