“Riding with Mazzotti”: registrations open for the cycling touristic route

TREVISO. On Saturday, May 25th, cycling and culture enthusiasts will have the opportunity to explore the Marca Trevigiana through the cycling tour “In Bici con Mazzotti”. Organized by the Premio Letterario Giuseppe Mazzotti Association and the Giuseppe Mazzotti Foundation for Venetian Civilization, in collaboration with the Fiab Treviso Aps Friends of the Bicycle Association, the route will touch Venetian villas, waterways, and factories in the northeast of the province of Treviso.

A Journey into Bepi Mazzotti’s Brand

The itinerary will start from Carbonera and will extend for about 40 kilometers, allowing to admire some of the historical and landscape beauties of the area. Two villas in particular will be the protagonists of the day: Villa Tiepolo Passi and Villa Perocco di Meduna. Participants will be able to immerse themselves in the history and architecture of these historic residences, guided by the descriptions of Bepi Mazzotti, pioneer of cycling tourism and great lover of the Marca Trevigiana.

Event Details

The itinerary includes several stops along the Melma, Storga, and Limbraga rivers, tributaries of the Sile, to observe the anthropic and natural elements that characterize the landscape. In addition to the villas, the route will include visits to parks and points of interest, with the possibility of refreshment at typical local establishments.

Registrations and Equipment

Registrations are open until May 22nd, with a participation fee of 25 euros covering guided tours, Fiab Treviso insurance, and management expenses. The use of electric bikes and a helmet is recommended, along with a backpack containing provisions and water. In case of bad weather, the event will be postponed to June 1st.
