From the farmers’ market to stand-up comedy, via “Domenica Bestiale” and Milan Green Week: the Milanese farmstead inaugurates the new cultural programme of “Quotidiano Cuccagna”

MILAN – With the end of summer, Cascina Cuccagna opens its doors to a new cultural and community season. “Quotidiano Cuccagna”, the project that enlivens the farmstead every week, returns with a calendar full of events, workshops, shows and activities designed for families, citizens and curious visitors.

The debut is set for Tuesday 9 September with the return of the Farmers’ Market, a weekly event that brings organic and locally sourced products to the farmyard. Following this, on the weekend of 13 and 14 September, “Domenica Bestiale con l’edizione del sabato” (Beastly Sunday with Saturday edition) marks the official start of the community season: two days of creative workshops, printing and collage workshops, music, conviviality and a large shared table.

From 17 September, the “Spectacular Wednesdays” also return with Stand Up Comedy: two evenings of live comedy, including experiments on stage and improvisations that transform the audience into an active part of the show.

Cascina Cuccagna also confirms its status as a reference point for environmental and social issues thanks to Milan Green Week (18-21 September). The calendar includes conferences, gardening and beekeeping workshops, meetings with associations and organisations active on the climate front, participatory experiences such as urban trekking, collective clean-ups and participation in No Parking Day, to rethink urban space in a sustainable way.

Alongside the main events, the activities that punctuate life at the farmstead continue: the Tuesday farmers’ market, Wednesday theatre performances, children’s workshops and social events that make Cuccagna an open and inclusive place.

To participate in and support the initiatives, you can apply for or renew your Cuccagna Card (€10, valid until August 2026), which entitles you to discounts on events and at participating businesses in the neighbourhood.

The full programme is available on the website cuccagna.org and on the farm’s social media channels.
