The events of the fourteenth edition of “Le Vie delle Foto” continue in Trieste, the widespread photography festival that transforms the city into an open-air gallery
Trieste – Saturday, April 11 guided tours return, among the most popular initiatives of the event: two routes are planned, one in the morning (from 10:00 to 12:30) and one in the afternoon (from 16:00 to 18:30), designed to lead the audience to discover the exhibitions and the featured authors of the 2026 edition.
The project
The Ways of Photography is a collective photography exhibition, a unique photography festival that transforms Trieste into a true open-air art gallery. For an entire month, the heart of the city comes alive thanks to a widespread path of personal exhibitions hosted within historic cafés, shops, restaurants, galleries, and symbolic places in the center.
Founded in 2011, this cultural event is now a well-established reference for contemporary photography in Italy and represents a special opportunity to discover Trieste through the lens of over a hundred photographers from all over Italy and the world.
The festival stands out for its team spirit and its ability to create a network of relationships among artists, citizens, and local activities. Each exhibition is an invitation to pause, observe, meet, and engage in dialogue. It is precisely the sharing and the energy of the creative community that make Le Vie delle Foto an engaging and accessible experience for everyone.
Walking through the streets of Trieste, the public can create their own photographic itinerary and immerse themselves in an urban narrative made of images, stories, and emotions. A form of slow and conscious cultural tourism that enhances the city and its artistic and commercial realities.
Trieste, a city of borders and inspiration, has always embraced cultural contaminations and artistic expressions: this is evidenced by the words of James Joyce, who wrote and read many of his works in the cafés of Trieste. Today, those same places become exhibition spaces, a symbol of a new way to live and spread art.
