ALMATY (KAZAKHSTAN) – The Italian expedition concludes with another podium at the second stage of the World Cup in shooting. In Almaty, Kazakhstan, after the victory in skeet by Gabriele Rossetti and the bronze by Martina Bartolomei, a second place also arrives.
The pair consisting of Silvana Stanco and Mauro De Filippis won the mixed team event of trap, a specialty that will make its return to the Olympic program at Los Angeles 2028 after the now customary rotation with the mixed team.
On the platform of the Asanov Shooting Club, the two Italians had already recorded the highest score in the qualifiers (145/150) in the morning, thus securing a well-deserved spot in the final reserved for the top four pairs. Here they finished with 33/40, being surpassed only by the Taipei duo composed of Wan-Yu Liu and Kun-Pi Yang, who managed to set a new world record with 36/40.
