Stomp

An undisturbed record, still able to be the protagonist in all consoles, to liven up any dance floor

Talking about Stomp immediately brings to mind The Brothers Johnson, a track released in their fourth album, Light Up The Night, another huge success back in 1980. The Brothers Johnson, George and Louis E. Johnson, who, at the beginning of their career, opened concerts for Bobby Womack and The Supremes, until the opportunity of a lifetime comes along in a very explicit way: Quincy Jones, not necessarily the last of talented musicians, who composes three out of their first four most important tracks.

Stomp, almost wanting to stop for a moment, immediately delivers a very skilled sound, blending bass and guitar lines that match the musical performance of the Brother Johnson.

A “big piece” capable of crossing the years and extending yet another spring, given the late age not necessarily spontaneous, but serving as the perfect trigger.

But what is surprising, although to a certain extent, is the longevity of the unique album, born from the very beginning, from the first notes.

Still capable of surprising and delighting us today, in this journey into the universe of the great musical lineage.
