Music, solidarity, and culture come together at the Teatro del Monaco in Treviso on Wednesday, June 11th starting at 6:30 PM.
TREVISO (TV). It will be an evening of great music and high social value scheduled for Wednesday, June 11 starting at 6.30 pm at the Teatro Comunale Mario Del Monaco. The Associazione Lirica Trevigiana, with the support of the Rotary Club, is organizing a grand lyrical gala dedicated to the theme of romantic folly, with a noble objective: to raise funds for scientific research. In fact, the proceeds will be donated to support a scholarship for a young researcher at the Rare and Immunological Diseases Center of the Treviso hospital.
The star of the evening will be the renowned Australian soprano Jessica Pratt, an international opera star, who will perform some of the most thrilling arias from the romantic repertoire, from Bellini to Donizetti. Joining her on stage will be world-famous artists in a program that combines emotion, art, and commitment.
The project also has a strong educational value: it includes two meetings organized by the Lyrical Association with the same theme of romantic madness. The first took place at the Santa Caterina auditorium, the second with the students of the Duca Degli Abruzzi High School in Treviso, and both were very successful.
The event on Wednesday, expected to host over six hundred people, will start at 6:30 PM with a welcome drink offered by Montelvini company from Asolo for the guests heading to the theater.
The president of the Trevigiana Lyric Association, Michele Pedoja, proudly emphasizes the association’s constant commitment to promoting initiatives for charitable purposes. After the recent project supporting children affected by Asperger’s syndrome, the association looks to the future with the intention of further expanding its activities, focusing on conferences, round tables, and new cultural formats to be proposed in the future as opportunities for growth and awareness.
Rotary Club support is fundamental, as it is an active partner in the initiative. Nicoletta Duodo, president of Rotary Club Treviso Terraglio, also emphasized the importance of collaborative work: “The scholarship is the result of a synergistic effort between the club and the Rotary District; thanks to everyone’s support, we can make a difference by combining art with solidarity and building a future where no one feels alone in the face of illness. The opera gala – Duodo adds – represents the culmination of an important project promoted by the Rotary Club Treviso Terraglio and the Trevigiana Lyric Association, which combines solidarity, culture, and civic engagement with the aim of making a concrete contribution to medical research on rare diseases.”
