After the victory against Serbia and the draw with Denmark, the women’s national football team has dropped one position in the FIFA Ranking
The series of defeats and draws at the end of 2025, although in friendly matches against the World giants, and the only victory in the four qualifying matches for the 2027 World Cup in Brazil have also left their mark at the level of FIFA Ranking. The women’s national football team, in fact, after the resounding victory at home against Serbia with a score of 6-0 and the 0-0 draw in Copenhagen against Denmark, drops one position.
In a ranking still dominated by Spain despite the recent defeat against the European champions England, Italy ranks fourteenth. In second place are the United States, who have achieved two victories and one defeat in three friendlies.
In third place are the English, thus surpassing Germany. Japan gains 3 positions, moving up to fifth, while Sweden, against whom Italy will play on June 9, loses the same number of spots, settling in eighth position. The other opponents of the Azzurre remain stable, with Denmark in twelfth and Serbia in thirty-fourth.
