The men’s volleyball national team’s season starts in Rome on Monday. 15 athletes have been called up for the first training camp of the year. Players from Perugia and Civitanova are absent.
ROME – The long summer of the Italian men’s volleyball national team officially begins. From the Volleyball Nations League 2026 between June and August, to the home European Championship in September. The first training camp will take place from Monday, May 11 to Sunday, May 17 at the “Giulio Onesti” Olympic Preparation Center in Acqua Acetosa.
The head coach Ferdinando De Giorgi has called up fifteen athletes to start the new journey of the reigning World Champions Azzurri. Most of the big names are absent, but it’s a good opportunity to test the young players in the first friendly matches of the season.
