The Devil Wears Prada

1 Mins read

We are just at the dawn; it’s the first teaser of one of the most anticipated sequels of the cult movies of the 2000s. And the wait grows frantic

“It took some time” is the cryptic phrase that sums it all up. With fans in a frenzy awaiting the date that is now revealed, April 29, 2026, along with a brief trailer lasting fifty seconds, that’s all it takes. From today, “The Devil Wears Prada 2” is no longer a chimera, a sweet desire, but an official promise, and to enjoy it in theaters, we just have to wait until next spring. As a pure marketing operation, it seems spot on, and not just for certified enthusiasts; it appears that a large group of newcomers to the film wants to peek in out of curiosity. So, nearly twenty years after their delightful performances, Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep return to the luxurious buildings of Runway in New York. The very first capsule released yesterday is enhanced by the magic of the notes from Madonna’s track, “Vogue”, but as for the film’s plot, directed by David Frankel, the production remains tight-lipped, of course, with a storyline that should feature Miranda Priestley at the helm of Runway, the fashion magazine grappling with the crisis in the publishing sector, leading her to turn to Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt), her former assistant who has certainly made a career for herself, becoming a powerful executive in luxury fashion. With the inevitable alliance that will come at a cost and will see Miranda ready to do anything once she puts on the famous red stilettos, a symbol of her ineffable, acrobatic elegance.
