The Pope’s days are spent between pharmacological therapy, active respiratory and motor physiotherapies, prayer, and a bit of work.
This morning from the Policlinico Gemelli the Pope sent a written message on the occasion of the Jubilee Pilgrimage of the Archdiocese of Naples and other Dioceses, delivered by Cardinal Domenico Battaglia, Archbishop of Naples, during the Holy Mass in St. Peter’s Square: “Dear brothers and sisters of the Archdiocese of Naples and many other Dioceses present, I greet you and your Bishops on the occasion of the diocesan Jubilee Pilgrimages you are undertaking. In them, the unity that gathers you as a community around your Pastors and the Bishop of Rome is expressed, as well as the commitment to embrace Jesus’ invitation to enter ‘through the narrow gate’ (Mt 7:13).” Wrote Francis. He then reflected on the value of knowing how to love one’s neighbor. “Love is like this: it unites and makes us grow together. For this reason, despite different paths, it has brought you here together at the tomb of Peter, from which you can depart even stronger in faith and more united in charity.” He thanked for the closeness and prayers: “In these days, I have felt so much the support of your closeness, especially through the prayers with which you have accompanied me. Therefore, even though I cannot be physically present among you, I express my great joy in knowing you united to me and among yourselves in the Lord Jesus, as the Church.” He concluded with a blessing, writing: “I bless you and pray for you. And I recommend: continue to pray for me too.”
