To celebrate April 25th, Italy’s Liberation Day and the feast of Venice’s patron saint, Saint Mark, The Phoenix takes the stage: a concert-show that pays tribute to the value of Freedom through an intense and engaging artistic experience.
VENICE. The stars of the show are the Vocal Skyline, a choir of 30 young Venetian voices directed by Marco Toso Borella, a renowned Murano glass artist, who also takes on the role of director. With The Phoenix, Borella offers an innovative vision of choral performance, transforming the choir into a scenic instrument that blends singing, music, choreography, theatrical readings, lighting effects, and video.
The result is an experimental and multisensory show designed to captivate the audience on every level. Each artistic element interacts with the others to create a deeply emotional experience that stimulates all five senses.
The Vocal Skyline choir has been active for over ten years, bringing together individuals united by a passion for music. Their work explores new expressive forms, combining voice and movement to surprise and move the audience, making them an integral part of the performance.
The Phoenix is produced by the Associazione Culturale Penelope and is intended for audiences of all ages. It is a hymn to freedom, creativity, and the power of making art together.
