The USA’s attack on Iran marks the beginning of yet another war

It was in the air and it has arrived with Donald Trump, who, by deciding to attack Iran, basically risks his presidential seat with a military intervention full of uncertainties, this is the opinion adopted by the major experts in strategic and international affairs.

With the tycoon openly stating a likely regime change in Iran and in a speech to the nation without beating around the bush, stating to have had only one single objective, that of destroying Iran’s nuclear enrichment capability and the subsequent end of the threat posed.

But the attack triggers a series of risks for the United States themselves and for the whole world, essentially condensed in these points: the failure of the blitzkrieg, Tehran’s response, the uncertainty about the end of the nuclear program in Iran, and the near future of the conflict itself, with a possible expansion and involvement of other countries.

Why the US attack is not a mystery, suddenly changing the chessboard and the scenario in the Middle East, will certainly raise the level of alert of sensitive targets, for example also in our country, with the most worrying impact for the economy that could come from the blockade of the Straits of Hormuz, a strategic site through which roughly a third of the world’s oil trade passes.
