4th edition of the parade “Historical Wooden Boats from Pietà – A classic of Venetian nautical history”: a check was delivered to President Anna Brondino of the Association Court of Forner as a contribution to the Emporio della Solidarietà project.
VENICE (VE): The IV edition of the “Historic Wooden Boats From La Pietà – A classic of Venetian nautical history” procession took place on Saturday, May 31st, in collaboration with the Venice Boat Show. The event celebrated naval art in its ideal setting: the Arsenal. The Cultural Association Wooden Boats From La Pietà aims to preserve a craftsmanship heritage that has given life to timeless boats in terms of style and history.
The initiative attracted enthusiasts and representatives of institutions to an event that managed to combine memory, culture, and social commitment.
The celebrations began with the parade arrival of the boats, which docked at the historic pier of the main basin, in the area adjacent to the submarine. A suggestive moment that brought to light the skill and historical value of these jewels of the sea, symbols of a Venetian tradition that never ceases to fascinate.
Subsequently, the moored boats were presented to the public, offering the opportunity to admire up close the elegant lines and craftsmanship of each specimen.
The event then continued on the main stage of the pier, with speeches from the main figures of the association: president Michele Viviani, vice president Luca Bosello, and honorary presidents Gianni and Giorgio Dalla Pietà, direct heirs of a craftsmanship knowledge that has marked the Venetian nautical sector of the twentieth century.
Next to them, Dr. Fabrizio D’Oria, Operational Director of Vela and Director of Events Communication and MICE, and the commercial director of the Nautical Show Alberto Bozzo also took the floor. Honored guests and institutional representatives were present, including City Councilor Giovanni Giusto, delegated to the Protection of Traditions, representing the Administration.
One of the most heartfelt moments of the day was the symbolic delivery of a check to President Anna Brondino of the Corte del Forner Association, in support of the project “Emporio della Solidarietà,” which provides concrete assistance to families in need through a solidarity network rooted in the local community.
The event ended with a collective toast and the evocative departure of the historic boats from the Arsenal, which bid farewell to the audience amidst applause, taking with them the emotion of a day dedicated to memory, the sea, and the beating heart of the city.
