The Lido di Venezia dressed up in celebration with allegorical floats and 900 costumed performers parading along the Gran Viale amidst music, colors, and entertainment. This event, part of the Venice Carnival 2025, saw the participation of groups from all over the Veneto region
Lido di Venezia. Great success for the parade of allegorical floats at the Lido di Venezia, which saw the participation of 900 masked performers animating the Gran Viale with music, hundreds of performers, the notes of the Pellestrina band, the colorful majorettes Magic Stars from Jesolo and Blu Bell from Trebaseleghe, and lots of fun.
At the event, representing the Administration, councilor for Budget Michele Zuin participated: “Today has been a day of celebration here at the Lido dedicated to all the people who have decided to spend an afternoon in joy with us. Thanks to this Administration, the tradition of floats has returned to being a must-attend event at the Lido, involving hundreds of people, families, and above all an occasion of celebration and wonder for many children, making the Carnival a magical moment designed especially for them. I also want to thank those who organized this celebration and the local Police officers and Civil Protection volunteers who ensured the normal and peaceful progress of the parade, giving children and their families the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful show. And from tomorrow, the party continues in Burano: the Carnival is very important throughout the estuary.”
Also present were councilor for Tourism Simone Venturini, president of the Lido Pellestrina Municipality Emilio Guberti, delegate to the Islands Alessandro Scarpa Marta, as well as some councilors from the city and municipality.
Opening the parade was the Majorette group Jesolo Magic Stars, which for 40 years has been dedicated to bringing the energy of majorettes throughout Italy, along with the notes of the Pellestrina band. Following them, the Santa Maria di Piave Group paraded with the float “I thought it was love instead… I hope it is so,” the Youth Association of San Giorgio in Brenta with “Too bad not to have fun,” the Association Quei de Quarto with “Never stop dreaming… only those who dream can fly,” the group Bersaglieri Simpatizzanti San Stino di Livenza with “Dancing with the gods,” the Simpatia Musestre Group with “Italian Justice,” the Luna D’Agosto Association of Zerman with “The jungle gang,” and the cultural Association Amici di Via Colombo with “Different pieces of a perfect puzzle.”
The parade, starting from Piazzale Bucintoro, ended with the awards ceremony, conducted by host Chiara Perale, on the stage set up in Piazzetta Lepanto.
