VIDEO | Nereida launches NetGreen: exploring sustainability through the metaverse

1 Mins read

Nereida Srl, a digital communication agency and publisher of Il Nuovo Terraglio, launches NetGreen, a digital and immersive platform designed to experience sustainability in an innovative and participatory way. At the heart of the experience are interactive virtual spaces that translate complex concepts into experiential pathways, transforming environmental knowledge into a concrete and engaging journey.

MOGLIANO VENETO. At the heart of the experience are interactive virtual spaces that translate complex concepts into experiential pathways, transforming environmental knowledge into a concrete and engaging journey. Each thematic hut is dedicated to a specific sustainability theme, from the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to more practical issues related to daily life and resource management. Some huts focus on clean energy and renewable sources, offering immersive simulations on photovoltaic systems, wind energy, and energy efficiency solutions. Others explore responsible consumption and the circular economy, showing how daily choices can reduce waste, optimize materials, and encourage recycling and reuse.

There are dedicated spaces for ecosystem protection and sustainable water resource management, where visitors can interact with explanatory videos and interactive tools that intuitively explain environmental dynamics. In each booth, the visual language – colors, symbols, and animations – guides the user through an immersive experience that integrates scientific information and digital creativity.

NetGreen’s approach aims to encourage active participation: visitors can move freely between the huts, complete interactive paths, discover updated data, and experience sustainable choices in realistic virtual scenarios. Thanks to elements of gamification, learning becomes fun and engaging, especially for new generations, fostering curiosity, sharing, and the adoption of responsible behaviors.

Each little house is not just a container of information, but an experiential environment that stimulates reflection and concrete action. The combination of interactive content, immersive videos, and virtual reality allows for the translation of abstract concepts of sustainability into observable and replicable practices in daily life, thus bringing the public closer to the crucial themes for the future of the planet.

With its scalable and inclusive structure, NetGreen and its themed houses aim to be a new digital reference point for environmental education, where exploration becomes a tool for knowledge and sustainability is not just told, but lived and experienced firsthand.
