Over 4,600 People at Parco San Giuliano to Experience a Day of Running, Yoga, and Meditation Amid Nature, Music, and Sharing

VENICE. For one day, Mestre’s Parco San Giuliano, with its breathtaking view over the lagoon, became the world capital of mindfulness. On September 27, the second Italian stop of Wanderlust 108 took place here — the Mindful Triathlon that combines running, yoga, and meditation in a unique global experience. It was not just a sporting event but a true collective ritual that involved over 4,600 participants and visitors.

From sport to spirituality: the heart of the Mindful Triathlon
Unlike traditional triathlons, Wanderlust 108 replaces swimming and cycling with inner disciplines. Running, yoga flows, and meditation form the three pillars of a journey focused not on performance but on balance between body, mind, and spirit. The day began with running and mindful fitness led by renowned trainers, followed by an extended collective yoga session and guided meditation moments that transformed the San Giuliano lawn into one synchronized breath.

On stage, talents such as Virginia Gambardella, Susanna Petternella, Michela Maltoni, Ambra Vallo, IOSNO, and Filippo Pigaiani took turns guiding participants on an experiential journey to discover their authenticity — their own “True North.”

Experiences beyond the main stage: shamanism, energy, and nature
The program extended beyond the main stage. The Always On and Uncommons activities enriched the day with offerings ranging from Giada Campanella’s Nadi Yoga, which intertwines breath and energy, to Sara Scafidi’s Body and Mind session, focused on mindful training, and Livia Laguz Marigliano’s Shamanic Practice, leading participants on an inner journey in search of their Spirit Animal.

Alongside these experiences, the park’s fields filled with social spaces, workshops, and stands dedicated to wellbeing and conscious nutrition. This mosaic of activities made the Mindful Triathlon not only a sporting event but a celebration of the wellness community.

Venice, a stage for positive energy
“Returning to Venice with Wanderlust 108 for the second consecutive year was an even more emotional experience,” said Simone Tomaello, Co-Founder of 2night and Country Manager of Wanderlust. “This city is our home, where it all began. Seeing it welcome thousands of people again, united by the desire to feel good and share experiences, proves that mindful living is not a passing trend but a growing movement.”

Institutions also highlighted the event’s significance. Deputy Mayor and Sports Councillor Andrea Tomaello described it as “a true open-air sports festival,” while Councillor Paola Mar called the day “an emotional experience, with the lagoon transformed into a natural stage of positive energy and sharing.”

A global network with local roots
Wanderlust was born in 2009 in the United States and has become an international phenomenon, reaching major cities worldwide. The Venetian edition shows how Italy has become a key point within the global Mindful Triathlon network, alongside metropolises like New York, Berlin, and Sydney.

But Wanderlust is more than an event. It is a year-round community of practitioners, trainers, companies, and associations sharing a vision of healthy, mindful, and sustainable living. Collaborations with organizations like Treedom, which created the Forest of Intentions, and the Libellula Foundation, committed to fighting gender-based violence, demonstrate how sport and mindfulness can be powerful tools for cultural and social change.

Looking ahead: the Rome stop
After the successes in Milan and Venice, the Italian Wanderlust 108 tour will conclude in Rome on October 4. One last chance, before the season ends, to experience what many participants have already called their #bestdayever.

Because Wanderlust is not just about running, breathing, or meditating. It is an invitation to find a more human rhythm, to slow down, and reconnect with oneself and others. Venice, with its magic suspended between water and sky, could not have been a more perfect stage for this boundless experience.
