Treviso is getting ready to host once again the event “Young in Music”, an initiative that offers young talents from the Conservatory the opportunity to perform in some of the most charming locations in the city
TREVISO. On March 26, at 5:30 pm, the Bailo Museum will host a special concert that anticipates the exhibition dedicated to Hokusai, one of the most anticipated events of the Treviso spring. The event marks the beginning of “Young in Music”, a series of three events organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Treviso to enhance the cultural venues and the young musical talents of the city.
After a five-year hiatus, “Young in Music” returns under the auspices of the Treviso Conservatory, with the support of the Municipality and the Province. The series, which has been a launching pad for numerous young artists over the past twenty years, proposes three afternoon concerts in some of the most charming locations of the city, also thanks to the collaboration with the Department of Culture.
“The Conservatory is one of the pillars of artistic and musical education in Treviso and the Marca region,” says the Councilor for Culture Maria Teresa De Gregorio. “We want to give space to young talents and we have thought of three special musical events, dedicating them to the memory of Iolanda Bruzzolo, who with her enthusiasm animated for years the Friends of the Theater Association. The first event will be a musical prelude to the exhibition on Hokusai, one of the most important cultural events of the season.”
The Director of the Conservatory, Paolo Troncon, emphasizes: “We are the Conservatory of the city and we want to strengthen our presence with concerts and events dedicated to Treviso. The hope is to consolidate this collaboration and expand the offer with masterclasses in the city.”
THE THREE CONCERTS OF THE EVENT
March 26 – Bailo Museum (5:30 pm)
Inaugural concert for the exhibition on Hokusai, with the Metronome Quintet (David Evelino Colbertaldo – flute, Chiara Ghirardello – oboe, Greta Baldan – clarinet, Giovanni Battista Filippetto – horn, Daniele Falco – bassoon). The musical program, featuring pieces by Alexandre Tansman, Franz Joseph Haydn, Claude Paul Taffanel, and Jacques Ibert, recalls the period of early 20th century France, when the West discovered Japanese culture and art thanks to the Universal Exhibition of Paris. An encounter between worlds that gave impetus to new artistic and musical influences.
April 9 – Santa Caterina Museum, Sala Rosso Coletti (5:30 pm)
Concert dedicated to the guitar, with a journey through the six strings performed by the students of the classes of Alberto Mesirca and Fabiano Merlante: Andrea D’Adamo, Giovanni Zuliani, Anna Ballico, Miki Marini, Stefano Zoldan, Daniele Schiavon, Alessandro Mogno, Olga Vedovetto, Francesco Faggian, Elisabetta Grego, Maddalena Ceccon, and Pietro Pasinato.
May 27 – Mario Del Monaco Theater’s Foyer
Grand finale with the most beautiful lyrical pieces performed by the students of the lyrical singing classes of the Conservatory.
“Young in Music” thus returns to Treviso with a cultural offer of high quality, strengthening the bond between young generations and the artistic heritage of the city.
