The Province of Treviso takes a decisive step towards modernizing its infrastructure: the executive project for the construction of the new bridge on SP 64 “Zermanesa” in Casale sul Sile has been approved, a strategic work that involves an investment of 6.8 million euros to ensure greater safety and traffic flow.
This intervention, funded under the Ministerial Decrees “Bridges” and with the Province’s own resources, marks a fundamental moment for local and inter-municipal traffic.
CASALE SUL SILE. The news comes directly from the Province of Treviso, which has officially published the approval of the executive project. The initiative involves the demolition of the current bridge and the subsequent reconstruction of a new infrastructure, an operation worth over 6,800,000 euros. These funds come from various sources: DM 225/2021, DM 125/2022, and the Province’s own budget resources, demonstrating a concrete commitment to improving the road network.
The design phase and project management have been entrusted to the company ITS Srl from Pieve di Soligo, a firm with proven experience in the sector. With the approval of the executive project, the way is now open for the next crucial step: the definition of the tender procedure for the contract for the works, which is expected to take place in the coming months. This means that the start of the construction site is getting closer, bringing with it the anticipation of a more modern and safer infrastructure.
A significant aspect of the project, emphasized by the President of the Province Marco Donadel, is its flexibility. The project, in fact, “does not preclude the realization of any future connections with the existing road network.” This provision is essential to allow for future adjustments and optimizations of traffic, including the possibility of revisiting the current roundabout, thus ensuring long-term planning and greater adaptability to the evolving needs of the territory.
President Donadel expressed great satisfaction with this achievement, highlighting the importance of the intervention within a broader provincial strategy. “The Province of Treviso continues its commitment to ensuring safety and improving provincial infrastructures: the approval of the executive project for the new bridge on SP 64 ‘Zermanesa’ in Casale sul Sile represents another piece of a wide and structured program, funded by the DM Bridges,” said Marco Donadel. He added, “given the importance of inter-municipal traffic, and considering the intensity of traffic in the section affected by the works, I remind you that the project does not preclude the possible realization of future connections with the existing road network, or revisions of the current roundabout; moreover, during the construction site, traffic will not be diverted, as the old bridge will remain passable until the testing of the new work is completed, as will the pedestrian and cycling walkway.” This last reassurance is particularly important for residents and commuters, who will be able to continue using the infrastructure without significant interruptions during the works.
Donadel continued, reiterating the strategic vision behind these investments: “The interventions on our bridges are fundamental to ensure greater safety, efficiency, and continuity in connections, benefiting citizens, businesses, and the entire territorial system. The bridge in Casale sul Sile is a significant work, both for the size of the investment and for the value it holds within the local infrastructure network.
