Massimo Fabbrizi and Alessia Iezzi take third place in the mixed team trap at the fourth and final stage of the season of the World Cup in shooting

HANGZHOU (CHINA) – Another podium for the reigning World Champions. On the stage of the Fuyang Yinhu Sports Centre in Hangzhou, in the province of Zhejiang, Massimo Fabbrizi and Alessia Iezzi take third place in the mixed team of trap.

An excellent performance in the fourth and final seasonal stage of the World Cup in shooting, a discipline that will return to being Olympic at Los Angeles 2028 after the now customary rotation with the mixed team event of skeet (which alternates with the Summer Games every four years).

The Azzurri were already third in the qualifiers with a score of 146/150, which was enough to reach the final reserved for the top four teams. However, there was nothing to do against Australia’s James Willett and Penny Smith, who won with a score of 37/40, matching the world record.

According to the host country China with Ying Qi and Yunong Sun with a score of 35/40. The Italians are in third place with 23/30 ahead of the Taipei pair Kun-Pi Yang and Wan-Yu Liu in fourth place with 17/20.
