Toni Servillo will be the protagonist of the 31st edition of the Faraglioni Capri International Award, scheduled for Sunday, August 30 in the Chiostro Grande of the Certosa di San Giacomo, one of the most enchanting and historically rich places on the Blue Island.

The event will feature an evening dedicated to cinema, theater, music, and culture. Servillo, one of the most authoritative interpreters of the international artistic scene and a key figure in Italian theater and cinema worldwide, will be awarded the recognition that has celebrated personalities capable of leaving a mark in culture, music, cinema, and entertainment for over thirty years.

Before the award ceremony, Servillo will present the audience with a theatrical performance of his own. This artistic moment will open the ceremony and guide the spectators through the human and professional journey of the actor, within an evening designed as a tribute to his career.

Servillo welcomed the awarding of the recognition with emotion: «I am grateful to Capri Arte and the Damino brothers for wanting to confer upon me the Faraglioni Capri International Award, which in its thirty previous editions has honored many prestigious names in music, cinema, and live entertainment. I am also pleased to be awarded in one of the most appreciated places in Campania for its history, culture, and natural beauty».

The Faraglioni Award comes in a particularly significant season for the artist. Thanks to his performance in the film The Grace by Paolo Sorrentino, Toni Servillo has won the Coppa Volpi at the Venice International Film Festival, as well as his fifth Nastro d’Argento and the Golden Globe for Best Actor, further confirming his artistic prestige on an international level.

The evening will be hosted by Rai journalist Eleonora Daniele, one of the most well-known and appreciated faces of Italian television.

The program will be enhanced by musical tributes from Simona Molinari and the Ebbanesis. Winner of the Targa Tenco, Molinari is one of the most elegant interpreters of the contemporary Italian music scene, blending jazz, singer-songwriter music, and modern sounds in her artistic journey.

The Ebbanesis, a duo made up of Viviana Cangiano and Serena Pisa, will present some pieces from their project inspired by Così fan tutte by Mozart, with adaptations by Andrej Longo and musical reduction by Leandro Piccioni and Mario Tronco. The work reinterprets the Mozart masterpiece through the historic tradition of Neapolitan posteggia.

The Faraglioni Capri International Award will be presented by the mayor Paolo Falco. The award consists of a silver sculpture depicting the famous Faraglioni, a symbol of Capri in the world, mounted on a marble base that recalls the color of the island’s sea. This year, as has been the case since the first edition, the work has been created by the master silversmiths of Pierino Gioielli di Anacapri.

Conceived, produced, and organized by Capri Arte of the brothers Aldo and Bruno Damino, the Award is one of the longest-running cultural events in Italy. Thanks to the involvement of the new generation of the Damino family, the initiative continues to promote dialogue between art, entertainment, and the territory, contributing to the enhancement of Capri’s cultural identity in the world.

Many personalities from culture, cinema, entrepreneurship, and institutions are expected at the ceremony.

The initiative enjoys the moral sponsorship and institutional collaboration of the City of Capri. Official partners of the event are the Grand Hotel Quisisana, a symbol of Caprese hospitality and historic venue of the Award; Polis Consulting, a national entity active in the security sector; and Kimbo, the historic main sponsor of the event and ambassador of the Neapolitan coffee tradition worldwide.
