Padovaland becomes a Caribbean island: the makeover that captivates families and tourists

2 Mins read

A record summer, with numbers growing significantly and a completely renewed face. Padovaland celebrates the 2026 season recording a 30% increase in admissions compared to 2025, confirming itself not only as the reference point for summer fun for the people of Padua but also as a destination increasingly appreciated by tourists and organized groups from all over Northern Italy.

PADUA. The result comes after an important investment journey undertaken in recent years. It’s not just the high temperatures that characterized the summer that made a difference, but also the redevelopment interventions that have transformed the park into an even more welcoming and immersive environment.

The most noticeable change of the season is the new look of the green area. Dozens of tall palm trees have been planted within the park, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of tropical locations while also providing ample natural shade for visitors.

The intervention represents the natural continuation of the turning point that occurred in 2025, when the ownership acquired 162 thousand square meters of the entire area, including the large lake and the surrounding green spaces, thus consolidating the foundations for a long-term development plan.

Among the main drivers of growth is confirmed Jungle Beach, the Spray Park inaugurated last season and quickly became one of the most sought-after attractions.

The area, dedicated to children and families, features interactive water games, fountains, tipping buckets, and scenery inspired by the African savanna, all surrounded by a large expanse of white sand that recreates the atmosphere of a tropical beach. Completing the offer is the recently renovated Bar al Lago, which is one of the most popular meeting spots in the park.

Ever more technological and sustainable services

Alongside the aesthetic restyling, Padovaland has also invested in service innovation.

Among the most appreciated innovations is the possibility to book umbrellas and sunbeds directly online, choosing your spot and arrival time in advance. Each umbrella is also equipped with a built-in safe to store personal belongings during your stay.

The Dog Area remains active, dedicated to guests who wish to spend the day with their pets, while on the sustainability front, investments continue to reduce water consumption through the renewal of systems and recirculation pumps. Additionally, the umbrellas are made from natural straw, helping to strengthen the park’s green image.

Tourism and summer camps are growing

The surge in attendance is not only about the local audience.

More and more visitors staying in Padua are choosing to spend a day at Padovaland, capturing part of the significant tourist flow that the city attracts every year. At the same time, the number of organized groups coming from outside the region is also increasing.

Particularly significant is the contribution of the summer camps, which each week accompany thousands of children and teenagers coming not only from the Veneto provinces but also from Emilia-Romagna. The safety of the facilities and the presence of areas dedicated to the little ones make the park one of the most sought-after destinations for summer outings.

Twenty slides and a network of partnerships in the area

With its 20 water slides, including Kamikaze, Treccia, Toboga, Pista Blanda, and Twin Slide, Padovaland continues to be one of the most complete facilities in Veneto for outdoor fun.

The growth is also supported by strengthening collaborations with the local area. In fact, the partnership with the Alìper group has been renewed, allowing customers of the brand’s supermarkets to access the park through dedicated promotions, while additional agreements have been activated with companies, organizations, and associations to facilitate ticket purchases.

With continuous investments, increasingly innovative services, and an offer aimed at families, young people, and organized groups, Padovaland thus consolidates its role as a tourist and recreational hub in Veneto, transforming the traditional “sea of the people of Padua” into a destination capable of attracting visitors well beyond regional boundaries.
