On September 2nd, there will be a concert of the Treviso International Saxfone Festival, the inaugural concert of the fifth edition of the namesake festival. On September 4th, there will be a special concert by the Orchestra del Teatro La Fenice, in return, as explained by Councillor De Gregorio, for the availability of the Teatro Del Monico to offer spaces for the orchestra’s rehearsals during the high water.
Another subscription-free event, but now almost a must for our theater, is the Christmas Concert, which will take place on December 22, featuring the gospel choir Vincent Bohanan & The Victorius Army from Atlanta, who will also be a guest at the concert in the Vatican, later broadcasted by Canale 5. Finally, for the Musical Drops for Nature, on January 19 there will be a piano concert by Elia Cecina, the young promise from Treviso, already established on the international scene.
At the end of the season, there will be another event outside the subscription, dedicated to the Neapolitan School between the Eighteenth and Nineteenth centuries. On May 12, the Orchestra d’Archi del Veneto, conducted by Maestro Matteo Scarpis, who is usually involved in the celebrations of Santa Cecilia in our theater, will present a program that would certainly be appreciated by Maestro Muti, who has stated that it is precisely in these composers of Neapolitan music that one must seek the specificity of the success of our Italian music.
The concert season officially begins, mainly dedicated to Beethoven on the occasion of the bicentennial of his death, with the violin and piano recital by KyoKo Takezawa and Edoardo Maria Strabbioli, which will take place on January 26. On February 2, there will be an incursion into contemporary music, performed by Filippo Perocco and the Arsenale ensemble in collaboration with the Berlin video artist Lillevan, in a composition titled Altri Rami.
An extraordinary event for genre lovers will be Saul by Handel, performed by the Choir and the Orchestra Barocca Andrea Palladio on March 16. There will then be a Tango concert on March 24 with Marcelo Nisiman, considered the heir of Astor Piazzolla, and his group, Chamberjam Europe.
To celebrate Beethoven, there will be a concert dedicated to him on April 6, which will provide a glimpse into our future from the perspective of this fundamental composer in the history of music, thanks to pianist and conductor Filippo Faes and the Orchestra del Friuli Venezia Giulia.
On April 13, there will be a piano recital by Arcadi Volodos, one of the greatest pianists on the international scene. On April 21, there will be another approach to 20th-century music, with Opus Avantra and Donella Del Monaco, the daughter of the famous tenor to whom the theater is dedicated, and who will be particularly excited about this opportunity. Finally, there will be two events of the Treviso Suona Jazz Festival outside the subscription: one on April 30 and one on May 22.
There are two shows planned for children and families: the polka-dotted musical, Pimpa, which will take place on October 30 at 5:30 PM, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the creation of the famous character created by Altan, and The Mozart Chest, a musical journey between magic and adventure curated by Alcuni, which will be performed on December 8 at 5:30 PM.
There will also be a matinée for schools with a show featuring the texts of Rodari and Andrea Zanzotto, titled The Fabulist, which will be staged on May 5th at 11 AM.
Since this theater also has a vocation for audience education, the introductory meetings to opera and the Oltre la scena concerts will continue, and space will also be given to awards and recognitions, such as the Premio Paolo Silveri, which will be celebrated with a lyrical gala dedicated to Le donne di Verdi, where the career award will be given to baritone Leo Nucci.

News and confirmations with excellent attendees
After the presentation of the prose season, which took place last Thursday, July 9, at the Teatro del Monaco, yesterday it was time to present the 2026-27 Lyric and Concert Season.
The curtain opened with a pleasant surprise: the Children’s Choir of the City of Treviso, conducted by Livia Rado, which is indeed one of the novelties of this season. The aim is to create a stable structure that involves young generations in the world of music and collaborates on major productions such as those of opera performances.
The welcome was given by the presenter, who was interrupted by the arrival of two traditional masks, Pantalone and Colombina, who, seated on a small couch on stage, represented the Gold subscribers, that is, those who have been loyal for the longest time.
It was precisely about the audience and subscriptions that Councillor De Gregorio spoke, first thanking the many attendees, because only the public’s appreciation can enhance the administration’s commitment to improving the cultural offering. At this point, Mayor Mario Conte intervened to emphasize how the number of subscribers, which hovered around 400 before Covid, has now doubled.
