August 19, today is World Photography Day

1 Mins read

Today, August 19, we celebrate World Photography Day, which owes its first breath to the Australian Korske Ara in 2010 and is also the date when, in 1839, the physicist François Arago presented the daguerreotype, the first photographic process for developing images, to the Academy of Sciences and Visual Arts in Paris.

From that day on, the visual arts benefited from a new form of expression, after sculpture, painting, and drawing.

A shot that captures emotion in an instant and fixes it forever, conveying a story to which nothing can be added, except a caption and millions of thoughts.
