Thanks to the fourth place achieved in the Guinness Women’s Six Nations 2026, the women’s rugby national team rises to sixth place in the World Rugby international ranking
A memorable edition of the Guinness Women’s Six Nations 2026 for the Azzurre. The fourth place achieved by ItalRugby allows them to climb three positions and rank sixth in the international World Rugby ranking.
A rise due to a splendid victory achieved on Sunday at the Arms Park in Cardiff in the fifth and final day of the Tournament, along with the success against Scotland and the two attacking bonuses. The team of coach Roselli thus rises to 74.79 points, just ahead of the Scots. A significant jump considering the ninth position the Azzurre were in after last year’s World Cup.
At the top of the ranking remains England, the reigning World Champion and winner of the Six Nations, followed by New Zealand and Canada. Fourth and fifth are France and Ireland, with Italy positioned as the fourth strongest European team ahead of Scotland and Wales, twelfth in the standings.
