BARCELONA (SPAIN) – Final day of the European Championships in bouldering and a medal arrives for the Italian National Team of sport climbing. In Barcelona, Camilla Moroni takes the third step of the podium in the women’s competition for a wonderful bronze.
The twenty-five-year-old blue athlete thus wins her second major medal in her career after the silver obtained in 2021 at the World Championships in Moscow (Russia).
On the famous wall of the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, the athlete from Genoa is the protagonist of a comeback race. In the qualifiers, with one top and two zones (44.8), she is in seventeenth place. In the semifinals, thanks to a top flash and two zones (44.8), she climbs to sixth position, earning a spot in the final.
The French athlete Orianne Bertone dominates the competition (gold with 84.3), followed by her compatriot Zelia Avezou who takes silver with 59.9.
