ROVIGO – An innovative and complex revascularization procedure of the visceral arteries has been performed on a patient at Ulss 5 Polesana. The operation, completed on July 24 and announced on August 20, represents an important milestone for the healthcare company led by Dr. Mauro Filippi.
To express his praise for the achieved result was the president of the Veneto Region, Alberto Stefani, who emphasized the value of the healthcare skills present in the regional territory.
“In Veneto, the quality level of the healthcare service is represented by the ability to have expertise and professionalism available throughout the territory to ensure the most appropriate responses to the needs of citizens, even when it comes to facing situations of great complexity,” said Stefani. “This is confirmed by Ulss 5 Polesana, where an innovative and challenging revascularization procedure of the visceral arteries was performed on a patient. I extend my congratulations to the teams involved for this important achievement.”
The intervention was made possible thanks to the collaboration between the professionals of Vascular Surgery, led by Dr. Sacco, and those of General Surgery, headed by Dr. De Luca, with the support of anesthetists and nursing staff.
According to President Stefani, the joint work of the different departments opens a new path in the surgical activity of Ulss 5, providing a new technical option to tackle particularly delicate and difficult-to-solve clinical cases.
