With over 5,200 votes, the Naturalistic Archaeological Museum of Vicenza has won the second edition of #Volotea4Veneto and the contribution of nearly 40,000 euros provided by Volotea
The Vice President and Regional Tourism Assessor, Lucas Pavanetto, spoke yesterday at Palazzo Balbi during the press conference announcing the winning project of the contest #Volotea4Veneto, the initiative by the airline Volotea, supported by the Veneto Region, aimed at supporting and promoting the cultural heritage of Veneto.
Also present were Valeria Rebasti, International Market Director of Volotea, and Camillo Bozzolo, Aviation Development Director of Gruppo SAVE.
“Congratulations to the Natural History and Archaeological Museum of Vicenza for winning the second edition of #Volotea4Veneto. The revival of the Roman Theatre of Berga will be an additional opportunity to rediscover one of the most significant yet lesser-known places of ancient Vicenza, away from mass tourism destinations. This project by Volotea, in fact, deserves credit not only for contributing to the protection of the artistic and landscape heritage that the regional territory is rich in, but also for offering visitors the chance to discover beautiful and characteristic places far from mass tourist flows.
This is part of the objectives of the regional tourism strategy, which aims to distribute flows to lesser-known places, alleviating the pressure recorded in the most popular destinations while also distributing the opportunities offered by the sector to promote the growth of the territory and the community that lives there,” said the regional tourism assessor, Lucas Pavanetto.
“When over 16,000 citizens choose to actively participate in the enhancement of the cultural heritage of Veneto – emphasized the regional councilor for Culture Valeria Mantovan- something extraordinary happens: culture steps out of traditional spaces and becomes a shared good, experienced and supported by an entire community.
This is the spirit of #Volotea4Veneto and this is why the Veneto Region is proud to be a partner alongside Volotea and Gruppo SAVE, whom I thank for believing once again in the development and attractiveness of Veneto. The victory of the Naturalistic Archaeological Museum of Vicenza rewards a project of great depth, capable of restoring visibility and centrality to one of the most significant places in the Roman history of Veneto.
The Roman Theatre of Berga represents a precious testimony of our roots and is one of those places that deserve to be rediscovered and told with the tools of our time: restoration, 3D reconstruction, digital storytelling. Vicenza won because it was able to convince the Venetians that this historical and cultural heritage is valuable. And it was right.

Between May 18 and June 10, 16,265 votes were collected for four candidate entities: The Natural Archaeological Museum of Vicenza, the Civic Museum of Bassano del Grappa, the Lessinia Regional Natural Park, and the Querini Stampalia Foundation in Venice.
