The lively seaside resort of Jesolo Lido is preparing to host a well-established and highly anticipated event: the twentieth edition of the “Festa di Campagna Amica”. Organized by Coldiretti Venezia with the valuable sponsorship of the Municipality of Jesolo, the initiative will take place on Wednesday, July 22, from 6:00 PM to 11:30 PM, in the picturesque setting of Piazza Milano. This event represents an unmissable opportunity for citizens and tourists to immerse themselves in the vibrant heart of local agriculture, discovering and tasting the region’s excellence.
JESOLO LIDO. The event will feature the participation of about twenty farms, ready to offer a wide range of products for direct sale. Visitors will have the opportunity to purchase seasonal fruits and vegetables directly from the producers, ensuring freshness and authenticity. Renowned DOC Piave and IGT wines from the Veneto region will also be available, showcasing the area’s enological richness. For lovers of sweet and natural flavors, honey and artisanal jams will be offered, along with genuine fruit juices. The selection will be enriched with baked goods, fresh eggs, and craft beer, reflecting the growing diversification of local productions. A touch of originality will come from a farm specializing in lavender cultivation and oil production, alongside a Rodigina company offering fresh and processed garlic, highlighting the variety and specificity of Venetian crops.
Stefano Re, president of Agrimercato Venezia, the Coldiretti association that coordinates agricultural events and markets, emphasized the importance of the event: “Tourists and visitors will be able to experience and purchase local agricultural excellence, thus supporting the valuable work of farmers.” His words highlight not only the quality of the products but also the ethical and social value of direct purchasing, which helps strengthen the agricultural economy of the area.
The “Festa di Campagna Amica” is not just a market but a true moment of gathering and fun for all ages. A dedicated area for children will offer “old-fashioned games,” providing a dive into the past and a playful alternative for new generations. Cotton candy, a timeless classic, will be available, with the particularity of being sourced from a 100% Italian agricultural supply chain, ensuring quality and traceability. The Veneto Orientale Land Reclamation Consortium will have a booth dedicated to interactive workshops for children, focused on the importance of water resources, a crucial theme for agriculture and the environment.
The evening will culminate at 9:00 PM with a musical entertainment moment. After speeches from Coldiretti leaders, Jesolo’s mayor, Christofer De Zotti, and agriculture assessor Luca Zanotto, the stage will be animated by the band “Aglio, olio e swing,” promising a lively and engaging atmosphere. Among the various gazebos, there will also be an information booth dedicated to the Interreg Italy Slovenia Bluecrab project. This initiative aims to transform the environmental problem posed by the blue crab in the Upper Adriatic into a resource, demonstrating how sustainability can generate new opportunities.
Agriculture and fun are, therefore, the key words of this event. Tiziana Favaretto, president of Coldiretti Venezia, expressed her enthusiasm: “We are excited to be part of this established event that brings a taste of our Venetian agriculture to the Jesolo public, focusing on quality and transparency.” A message that reaffirms Coldiretti’s commitment to promoting local productions and engaging with consumers.
Massimo Sandri, director of Coldiretti Venezia, added an important reflection on the current context: “In a period of difficulty that is putting the entire sector to the test due to climate change, with drought and rising production costs, events like the Festa di Campagna Amica in Jesolo are essential. They allow farms to introduce themselves, present their products, and enhance the territory.” Sandri also highlighted the collaboration of various entities, including the Jesolo municipal administration, the Veneto Orientale Land Reclamation Consortium, and Banca Prealpi, whose contributions are essential for the successful outcome of the event.
The “Festa di Campagna Amica” in Jesolo Lido confirms itself as a highly valuable appointment, capable of uniting the promotion of local agricultural excellence with moments of celebration and awareness on important issues such as sustainability and environmental protection. An open invitation to everyone to participate, to concretely support the work of farmers and rediscover the authentic connection with the land and its fruits.
