The writing workshop for the stage, part of the Giuseppe Bepo Maffioli Prize 2026, is open to a maximum of ten participants aged 10 and over. The meetings will be held on September 12, 13, 19, and 20; applications are due by September 8.

A Treviso, a theater writing workshop is born, open to the community, designed for those who wish to challenge themselves, tell a story, and engage with others. No qualifications or previous experience are required: drammatizziAMO.26 is aimed at both those who already write and those who would like to start.

The public call is promoted as part of the Giuseppe Bepo Maffioli Award 2026. The writing workshop for the stage is conceived and led by actor and trainer Alex Cendron, curated by .eacapo ETS and produced by Teatro Stabile del Veneto – Teatro Nazionale.

The initiative is open to a maximum of 10 participants aged 10 and over and will take place in Treviso over two weekends: Saturday, September 12 and Sunday, September 13, then Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20, 2026.

Each participant, even without any experience in the theatrical field, will be guided in writing a short original one-act play. Everyone will be able to develop their own story through discussions with a mentor and with a group where different ages, experiences, and perspectives will become an integral part of the creative process.

The texts created during the workshop will be presented to the public through two moments of reading, scheduled for Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27, 2026 at the Teatro Comunale Mario Del Monaco in Treviso. The events will be part of the fifth edition of the Giuseppe Bepo Maffioli Award, set to take place from September 24 to 27.

The readings will be performed by actors Alex Cendron and Davide Strava, along with the graduates of the Carlo Goldoni Theatre Academy of the Veneto Regional Theatre – National Theatre. The readings will be accompanied by illustrations created by the students of the State Artistic High School of Treviso, in collaboration with Avanscena, the set design festival in Treviso.

Born, like the Giuseppe Bepo Maffioli Award, from the experience of GEA. – Contemporary Theater Festival, drammatizziAMO now finds a new framework for development in the association .eacapo ETS, recently established to promote new dramaturgy and artistic practices related to writing for the stage.

To apply, it is necessary to fill out the dedicated drammatizziAMO form available on the website www.premiomaffioli.it by Tuesday, September 8, 2026. The participation fee, to be paid only after the acceptance of the application, is 20 euros for those under 21 and 50 euros for those over 21.
